Who Is Carla Rae?
I'm Carla Rae Cappetto — a wife, mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, author, and teacher. I've experienced enough unexpected turns in life to know that faith isn't pretending. It's discovering that with God, the hardest chapters of our lives don't have to be the end of our story.
My faith in Jesus is not a backdrop to my story — it is the story. Everything I write, teach, and speak flows from a conviction that God's Word is alive, that His grace is real, and that He meets women exactly where they are — in the middle of the mess, the grief, the uncertainty, and the challenges of life.
I've served alongside my husband, John, in full-time ministry for over 40 years. We are the founding pastors of Faith Heights Church in Grand Junction, Colorado. I've taught women's groups, conferences, and classrooms, encouraging women with a truth I have learned through my own life: "The battles you face today may not be your choice, but the outcome is."

I believe the Bible is alive and relevant. Every message I give and every book I write is anchored in Scripture.

My husband John, our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren are among God's greatest gifts to me.

The life between the pages
I live in Colorado with my husband, John. We have two children, six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild—so far! Family is one of life's greatest gifts to me.
I love evening walks with my family, a good cup of coffee, and spending time on my patio surrounded by flowers. And every now and then, I'm more than ready for a little getaway—especially if it takes me to Disneyland or the ocean. When I'm not writing, preaching, or teaching, I'm simply enjoying the people, places, and everyday moments that make life sweet.
